With the increasing market share of ultrasonic metal welding machines, various problems of ultrasonic metal welding machines have emerged one after another, such as excessive welding, weak welding, or the welding head not emitting ultrasonic waves, etc. Today, it’s already late and I received a phone call inquiring about the situation where the ultrasonic metal welding machine’s welding head does not emit ultrasonic waves. Because the equipment is not from our factory, after a detailed understanding of the situation, I can only briefly explain to him how to detect whether there is a problem with the sound component. So what’s the reason why the ultrasonic metal welding machine’s welding head doesn’t emit ultrasonic waves? Let me explain to you our self-developed ultrasonic metal welding machine.
The ultrasonic metal welding machine is mainly composed of a generator and a machine, as shown in the above figure. The ultrasonic generator can be said to be the core point of the ultrasonic metal welding machine. If there is a problem with the ultrasonic generator, it can also cause the welding head of the ultrasonic metal welding machine to not emit ultrasonic waves. In such a situation, it can only be solved by the manufacturer. However, most of the generators launched on the market have been validated and it is difficult to encounter such problems. Generally speaking, the ultrasonic metal welding machine does not emit ultrasonic waves. The first thing we test is the acoustic component, which is commonly referred to as the triple component (transducer+amplitude rod+welding head), as shown in the following figure. Check if there is any problem with the three components, as any one of them may cause it to not emit ultrasound.
As shown in the picture, the editor teaches friends the simplest and easiest way to master, which is to check whether there are cracks in the sound components. If there are cracks, it can be basically determined. Of course, if internal cracks occur, professional instruments need to be used for testing. Another possibility is that the transducer connection wire is not properly plugged in, but this situation is unlikely to occur.
The best way to solve any problems is to directly contact the manufacturer and have them help you complete the testing.
